Bio: Alandis Brassel loves helping artists turn creative ideas into viable businesses. He comes to the Arts & Business Council from the Office of Congressman Jim Cooper, where he served as counsel and advised on intellectual property and music industry policy. Alandis received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. He graduated magna cum laude from Hampton University with a B.S. in Music Engineering Technology and from New York University with an M.A. in Music Business. He is admitted to the bar of Tennessee. Prior to law school, Alandis owned and operated Go Forth Music, where he managed projects for artists and provided audio engineering services for clients including Bloomberg Television, the Charlie Rose show, Island Def Jam, and Timbaland. Alandis is a Board Member of the Northwest Family YMCA, Membership Chair and Member of the Boy Scouts of America Nashboro District Committee, and Board Member of the Tennessee Youth Courts. He is an alumni of the Nashville Emerging Leaders class of 2016. Alandis lives in Green Hills with his wife, Thallen, and their two sons, AJ and Theodore. They are avid Titans fans.

The Arts & Business Council connects artists and arts organizations with the services, skills, and opportunities they need to thrive from their creative endeavors. To this end, the Arts & Business Council provides pro-bono legal services to low-income artists of all disciplines, as well as legal and business assistance to emerging nonprofit arts organizations through the Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals for the Arts (VLPA) program.
