ArtCamp Nashville Coming!

We know you have questions, so we prepared this guide. ArtCamp is what you make it—so plan ahead.

Buy a ticket in advance for $15. The price goes to $20 on Saturday. Tickets are available on Eventbrite:

  • Charge your devices before your arrive for tweeting, texting and blogging. Nossi has outlets but there are no guarantees.
  • Bring lots of business cards to hand out. You’ll be needing them for all of the fascinating people you're going to meet.
  • Bring a sketch pad or small notebook as a handy alternative for note-taking if you’re not a fast typist, or in an emergency if your device dies in the middle of a session.
  • Wear COMFORTABLE shoes. Some extra popular sessions may be standing room only.

You won't have to worry about parking. Parking is plentiful at Nossi College of Art. Once you enter campus, stay to the right and circle around the building. The main entrance for ArtCamp is located behind the building.

Sessions are 45 minutes long with 15-minute breaks in between. If you want to switch sessions for any reasons, follow the “law of two feet.” If you’re in a session and there is another session happening simultaneously and you want to catch a little bit of each, simply get up quietly and walk out. It isn't rude—in fact, it’s encouraged. It’s your event—make it the most valuable experience for you.

During the day materials will be made available for each attendee to contribute to a collaborative art peice. We will be accepting visual and poetic submissions that will be woven together by a volunteer team of Southern Word poets and artist. The results will be presented at the afterparty.

Nomzilla will be providing lunch and it is self-service and we be set up in the main hallway near the registration entrance from 12:15-1:45 pm or while supplies last. There will be a variety of vegan and glutten free choices. Please feel free to make arrangements however you like, or bring something for lunch. We will provide soft drinks and water.

Several vendors will be providing valuable information and resources in the circular hallway opposite the main stage during lunch. Please visit these supporters of the arts and take advantage of the opportunities they bring.

We are happy to have Paul Polycarpou address the attendees. He is the publisher of Nashville Arts Magazine and is a very passionate and thoughtful representative for Nashville's arts and artists

Be prepared to talk about yourself and ask others about themselves. You will be amazed at the variety of people you will meet and friends you will make. Don’t forget to bring plenty of business cards. If you hear an interesting conversation, don’t feel too shy to jump in. Introduce your friends to the people you meet.

Hear something fabulous? Learn something useful? Meet someone incredible? Tweet it out using the #artcampnash or #acn17 hashtag and the unique session hashtags. Post photos to Instagram and tag them with #artcampnash. Spread the knowledge and and let everyone how you're making it awesome for you.

If you can stay after 4:45 we are having an afterparty. It is being created this year by Creatives Day and we will be revealing the collaborative art and poetic projects, so you will not want to miss this. East Nashville Beer Works is pouring some of their fantastic craft beer.
